Local frozen yogurt joint is looking to “adopt”
Want to help your school get free, back to school supplies? Well, Sweet Frog does too.
Workers say they are looking to “adopt” one local elementary school.
All you have to do is comment your school’s name on Sweet Frog’s Facebook post and the name mentioned the most is the winner.
Manager Tiffany Watts says they will place a box in the store to collect the most needed items.
Every person who donates receives 20 percent off of any purchase.
Watts says watching the comments roll in feels like watching the ball drop on New Year’s Eve all over again.
“To see so many people get involved with something to help our kids and our educators … it just, it makes my day,” she said.
The shop plans to hold a benefit for the winner the week of Labor Day, giving a portion of the proceeds back to the school.
Those interested have until 8 p.m. on Thursday to vote.
The winner will be contacted early the following week.
Locals are welcome to donate supplies up until Labor Day.
