Training you for success

As a sweetFrog franchisee you will receive training both in-store and in the classroom. Your journey typically begins through the attendance and successful completion of your KTEC training.

KTEC Training is held at the Kahala Training and Education Center in beautiful Scottsdale, AZ. In this portion of training, you will spend 4.5 days learning topics such as Customer Service, Profitability, Marketing and more. While at KTEC, you’ll meet many of Kahala’s Subject Matter Experts on these topics and be introduced to a variety of tools to help you successfully operate your business. In addition, you’ll have an opportunity to take the ServSafe Food Safety Manager Exam to complete the Kahala Brands’ Food Safety Certification requirement.

Upon your successful completion and about 30-45 days prior to your store opening you will also attend your In-Store Training (IST).

In-Store Training (IST) is held at one of the certified training stores in your area. In this portion of your training, you will spend 3 days (24 hours) learning and practicing sweetFrog operational skills. Training is hands on, so be prepared to do more than just watch here!

After you successfully complete both your KTEC and IST training, the training and support certainly does not stop. We host quarterly webinars and conference calls to discuss additional training and support needs on a variety of topics including, local store marketing, limited time offers, products, operations and more.

Need extra assistance at your store? Not. A. Problem! Our Regional Directors of Operations (RDOs) will visit your store at least once every quarter. During this time they will walk you through your store with you to help you identify any problem areas or ways to improve your operations. You can ask any questions or seek their guidance and help with machine or equipment concerns.

You also have an entire family of franchisees to rely on. Your fellow sweetFrog owners can also offer advice and best practices to assist you as you continue to build and grow your sweetFrog franchise. Don’t know any of your fellow owners yet? Not to worry! We hold an annual franchise conference each year to help franchisees network and learn from their peers and the franchise support team. The conference is 3 days and full of useful information, training sessions and most importantly FUN for the whole family!
